Despite the fact that the fashion museum, Musée Galliera, in Paris has been closed since 2009 for renovations, they have kept up their game of bringing some beautiful fashion exhibits to the city.  Held at the Cité de la Mode et du Design- The Docks, this season, there are two exquisite exhibits to look out for.

Starting this April and running through October, the first exhibit is a retrospective of Balenciaga.  The exhibit will bring light to the fabulous garments collected by the late designer over his lifetime and later donated by his family to the Musée Galliera.  In "Cristobal Balenciaga, Fashion Collector," visitors will be privvy to over 70 garments collected by Balenciaga, shown alongside about 40 couture dresses and coats designed by Balenciaga between 1937 and 1968.

Running at the same time as "Cristobal Balenciaga, Fashion Collector" is a haunting exhibit about Comme des Garçons' Spring 2012 collection, titled "White Drama."  This collection, which had editors and buyers transfixed, will be on display to allow visitors to see up close and personal just what went into the creation of the pieces.  Comme des Garçons' Rei Kawakubo designed the scenography for the exhibition, highlighting the all white collection full of mysterious, suggestive silhouettes.
