How you got your start: I started Landmarks & Lions while studying at the UMN Carlson School of Management. It began as part fun and part challenge. My background is in the arts and design; I am always looking for an outlet to fulfill those creative desires. I designed and made the products from home while my wife helped create the website and online shop. The company is now in the beginning of its second year and going strong.
Best gig so far: I worked on a project with OfaKind.com that features up and coming designers where each designer creates a limited edition product. I created a version of our popular Madison iPhone wallet that was inspired by my honeymoon in Italy, called the Margherita wallet.
What's next: I am working on expanding the line to a full range of leather bags and accessories including leather carry-alls, weekenders and laptop cases. I will also be introducing vegetable tanned leather imported from Italy.
