diesel and ducati launch monster diesel

Last week as I approached the corner of Spring and Greene I could practically taste the testosterone in the air. The Diesel Style Team and Ducati’s Design Centre were celebrating the launch of their latest co-branded effort, the motorcycle, Monster Diesel. After passing the obligatory velvet rope, I wandered past throngs of men with scruffy beards, men in plaid shirts, men decked out in leather…basically I wandered into a man feast. There were also beautiful, leggy models sprinkled in the crowd, but at this party all eyes were only on one queen diva and that was the Monster Diesel.

Sporting a rugged military feel, the motorcycle features over 30 stylish details such as a vintage style leather seat and aluminum air intakes. Each motorcycle comes with an engraved metal plaque with the owner’s name and a unique serial number. Diesel’s, Stefano Rosso played a special hand in overseeing the design of the accompanying capsule collection. In his own words….

“This capsule collection was born from the idea of taking a biking lifestyle and giving it a fashion twist. We did little things that reference the Ducati lifestyle throughout the collection. Biking details are woven throughout the collection, a T-shirt that takes inspiration from the rubber of a bike’s tires, and a dark blue pair of jeans with a subtle riding detail sewn throughout the legs that, once the pants are used for riding, the detail will become lighter.”
