Madonna Launches "Material Girl" With Taylor Momsen
Last night, Madonna rocked New York City once again--not with a new concert, but the launch of her Material Girl fashion line at Macy's.
The Queen of Pop walked the pink carpet at Macy's Herald Square with her daughter (and fashionista-in-training) Lourdes "Lola" Leon, accompanied by Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen as the face of the line--not, as you may have initially suspected, the utterly disinterested love child of Courtney Love and a raccoon. We understand teenage rebellion, but we do wish Momsen had toned the smoky black eyes down to a respectable smudge.
Despite the sourpuss expression on Momsen's face--she's a rocker who likes her lucite heels, after all--eager fans gathered at Macy's to celebrate the Material Girl line, a collection of apparel, footwear, handbags, and jewelry at teen-affordable prices. Designed by Madonna along with Iconix Brand Group's in-house fashion department, Material Girl was perhaps better (and more happily) represented by young Lola, dressed in a leather jacket and flannel shirt from the line. According to mom Madonna, she had a lot of input: "Well, you know I have a very strong point of view," Madge told reporters, "but so does she, she has a good sense of style."
Material Girl is currently only available at Macy's Herald Square, but it will soon be available in Macy's stores nationwide.

@ Ivan, No I don't think that was the look she was going for, that is SO off mark.... But I like her (Momsen) clothing and Lola's clothing. Very nice... I would have to agree with Hilary on that Lola would have been better off representing the brand from the looks of the pink carpet....Still love ya Taylor :)
Uhh, Madonna so totaly dissapoints me with this whole uber cheap Material Girl stuff. I was expecting more high fashion from her.

Taylor- enough with the chimney swept look.. we get it... looking like a low budget street walker= total bad ass....LOL... but really, going from the face of John Galiano's Parlez-Moi d'Amour fragrance to Material Girl??? ...ehhhh... isn't that more season 1 Jenny Humphrey than TAYLOR MOMSEN???
