Ever since Jeremy Scott's New York homecoming last season, he's had the fashion capital on his mind. The reliably wacky Scott looked back to a wide range of NYC's cool girls--Debbie Harry, Max's Kansas City punks, the Misshapes' Leigh Lezark--and paid homage to their early, trashy DIY spirit.

With instant visual references from Lady Gaga to Zoolander's infamous Derelicte collection, Scott cobbled together garbage-punk chic with sheer polyester tanks that all-too accurately resembled takeout bags, envelope clutches emblazoned with "Sorry, we're closed" signs, and minidresses seemingly crafted from crushed beer cans. There were even a few voluminous, black latex looks complete with neon-orange ties! Now that is garbage couture.

It wasn't all literal trash and vaudeville, however; there was much to smile about in safety-pinned bodysuits and meat-print skirts (how eerily prescient, given Gaga's recent butcher duds). A red bugle-bead dress covered in black tread marks was a definite crowd pleaser, as were the muscled hunks in leather bondage gear (I wouldn't even mind wearing the oh-so-early-80's FE†ISH tee around town, and I'm definitely not the only one clamoring for Scott's crucifix sunglasses) and the bleach-blonde punk chicks in bridal-white latex.

Fashionistas may be toning it down for these tough times, but the well-practiced front row (including Kelly Osbourne, Kanye West, and Solange) has certainly seen more than its fair share of neutrals this season. Ever-freaky and ever-fun, Jeremy Scott had the entire crowd on its feet--that's entertainment, New York style.

I want look #15, reminds me of what they're always saying to models, and of course the infamous Lady GaGa.
