H&M's Mystery Designer Viral Campaign

H&M's designer collaborations are some of the most frenzied events in fast fashion. Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf...we can't think of a time when a designer line didn't cause an insane, hair-pulling stampede. Capitalizing on its popularity, not to mention a fashionista's impatient anticipation, H&M has launched a Guess Who-style mystery game, releasing viral videos of an impeccably, extravagantly dressed man and woman talking about luxury, the future of fashion, and their ideal woman.

Naturally, speculation abounds; some are guessing the gentleman in question is Bottega Veneta's Tomas Maier, while the most popular guesses for the woman are Carolina Herrera and Pam Hogg. Based on the former's target demographic, we're going to rule her out, although Hogg seems a definite frontrunner.

But any time there's an internet campaign shrouded in secrecy, the conspiracy theorists come out. Some commenters believe that H&M is using voiceovers and models (Alber Elbaz's voice? Maybe. His body? Not a chance), which pretty much renders this guessing game a bit silly.

Who do you think is heading H&M's campaign? Either way, expect the retailer to announce the designer collaborations, names, faces, and all, on September 9.

Going with Tom Ford. Love him and he's launching a womens collection, so H&M would be a great intro.

I've never heard Tom Ford speak, but after some CSI-style forensic comparisons, I would have to agree that its quite possibly his face and the vein patterns on the back of his hands look pretty much identical to the person in this video.  So I'm gonna have to go with Daniel on this one.

That would be pretty wild and the opposite of what anyone would expect.  Those pieces would be sold on ebay for crazy prices.
