Selfridge's New Expansion

Attention all shoe lovers: The London-based department store Selfridge's now has an entire floor devoted to shoes, deemed as the "shoe galleries". Selfridge's decided to expand on their already notable footwear reputation with a 35,000 square foot space, complete with a decadent interior.
On Thursday, the highly-anticipated space was open to the public, with 120 designers at the shopper's fingertips. Ballet dancers performed amongst the top-designer selection including Gucci, Ugg, TopShop, and Chanel, as the guests sipped on champagne. Joshua Schulman, chief executive officer of Jimmy Choo, also played a role in the expansion, which began over two years ago in hopes of attracting the most fashion-saavy of customers. "This space allows us to express more of the brand and the product,” said Schulman. Shoe enthusiasts may want to set aside an entire day to navigate through the space. Don't worry about going hungry, the French bistro, Aubaine, is right in the middle of the action.

A girl's dream come true! Those brits are so lucky.
