Milan Fashion Week attendees got their dose of surprises at the unveiling of Gucci's spring collection. Raquel Zimmermann was the first model to hit the runway, setting the stage for vibrant color-blocking and python accessories. The show was Zimmermann's debut at Milan Fashion Week, which added even more intrigue to the heightened and unsuspected glamour that was anything but, classic Gucci. The burnt orange and turquoise hues were inspired by Frida Giannini's attachment to photographs of Guy Bourdin and David Bailey, circa 1978. Less than halfway through, the boldness was evened out with a return to neutral colors, fringe jackets, and inventive fabric constructions. The last portion of the show was packed with memorable black pieces, highlighting the collection's intricacies and structure. Undoubtedly, a tough act to follow.

I would have to say, I can see myself wearing each and every one of those pieces. I would have to make some things a little bit more modest for my tastes, but everything else is just simply PERFECT! I LOVE IT :) Thanks for the report Haley!
i'm having some serious inner turmoil right now because...i..i don't hate it. it's actually kind of nice.
I feel the same. I thought I would hate it with no color changes but I love it! I would wear a lot of those pieces.
Frida Gianni is a freakin genius. Really. I could try and be more wordy, but what's the point. And I'm so surprised at myself for liking Gucci, what's going on the world! Milan's Fashion week has been the best so far.
Ment to write Frida Giannini. Bad mistake on my part!
